Volcanic Beach Stones

In these watercolours, lines travel across the piece, dividing, doubling back, interlocking, reminiscent of weave and alive with the energy of their eruptive origins. Stone surface, pitted with gas bubbles, released by erosion. The drawings are dotted with cameo portraits of their interiors, each their own small world.
