Louise Martin

About Louise Martin

After completing a first class (Hons) degree in Constructed Textiles at Middlesex University, Louise attained a distinction in her MA in Applied Art at the University of Ulster. She was senior weaver at Stirling Castle for a decade and now combines exhibiting internationally; teaching and giving talks.

I have been teaching tapestry for many years, providing workshops for both individuals and groups such as The Embroiderers, Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, Turning Point Scotland, Primary and Secondary Schools and Art Centres.

Workshops are available for complete beginners as well as others targeted for those with more experience. Workshop topics range from forming shapes to eccentric weaving to weaving a design to supplementary warps.  If the workshop is fully booked or doesn’t fall on a day you can attend then please say as it will help inform future classes.

If you would like to book Louise to give a talk, a workshop, or to ask a question concerning the workshops, then please contact her on: 01259 762 487 or email.
